Ivalu Barlach Christensen (GL)
Ivalu Barlach Christensen is a young Greenlandic radio-astronomer working at the Max Planck Institute in Bonn. She specialises in investigating the chemistry of the star forming region, Cygnus X. Her appearance at Tårup Dark Sky will include lectures, and workshops for children and youth focusing on radio-astronomy and the making of DIY telescopes.
Jon Larsen (NO)
Stardust hunter and citizen scientist Jon Larsen found Denmark`s first micrometeorite on the roof of Superbrugsen in Ørbæk in 2022, later also at 4Kløverskolen in Frørup and at the roof of Kunstrum Fyn. During Tårup Dark Sky Festival he will continue his search for stardust on Fyn.
Tobias Cornelius Hinse (DE/DK)
Tobias is an astronomer who received formal education in Germany and Denmark. He was awarded a MSc master’s degree from the University of Copenhagen and moved on to receive a PhD degree from Queens University Belfast/ Armagh Observatory in the UK. Most of his research was performed in South Korea at the Korea Astronomy and Space Science Institute.
Morten Fischer Mortensen (DK)
Morten is a Biologist and Senior Researcher at The National Museum of Denmark. He is a specialist in Environmental Archeology and has a particular focus on elucidating the natural environments people have lived in over time. Through new archaeological and natural science studies his recent work reveals the extent of a global climate catastrophe in the 500-600 years AD.
Vegard Lundby Rekaa (NO)
With space as an arena, Vegard Lundby Rekaa has spent his entire adult career as an astronomer to explore his own and others' questions about our place in space. With a long experience in both research and teaching, he can convey even the most technical and complicated matters in a way that everyone can take part in.
Lars Occhionero (DK)
Lars Occhionero is an astrophysicist, working as curator at the danish national museum for the history of astronomy: Kroppedal. Lars uses the intersection between science and culture in his outreach and talks, combining physics, history and popular culture to give perspective on how they interact and are connected.
Dugnad (DK)
The collective Dugnad is next-door neighbors to Kunstrum Fyn and owners of one of the barns in which Tårup Dark Sky Festival takes place. Dugnad consists of three families, who have chosen to live together and share their everyday life. Dugnad try to distance themselves from conventional consumerism, and strive to support an environmentally and socially sustainable lifestyle where creativity and inclusion is central.
