Nils Petter Molvær (NO)
The celebrated Norwegian jazz-electronica trumpetist Nils Petter Molvær is coming to Tårup to open the festival with a spectacular night performance! At 00:15 am 31st of August Molvær will play a solo outdoor concert under the blue super moon.
Regler (SE/DE/ES/DK/NO)
Regler is an artist group consisting of Anders Bryngelsson (SE) and Mattin (DE/ES), working conceptually with noise and improvisation. They invite the guests of Tårup Dark Sky to the premiere of their new sound performance Regel #14, created specifically for the festival in collaboration with the artists Andreas Soma (SE/NO) and Irene Gellein (DK).
Sans-1 (DK)
Sans-1 uses the language and tools of fiction to communicate science and history. Sans-1's sound walks always focus on the sensory narrative, based on a basic principle that learning and professional as well as personal development is particularly effective through emotions and presence.
Katrine Ring (DK)
Katrine Ring is a Danish DJ and composer. At Tårup Dark Sky she will perform her newest sound piece Det Blaaner which is commissioned this year by The Rued Langgaard Festival in Ribe. It's an interpretation of the classical composer Rued Langaard and his take on the twilight.
Matti Aikio (FI)
Matti Aikio is a Sámi artist exploring the intersection of modern Western society and indigenous cultures, their relative worldviews and conceptions of space and time, with a particular interest in the conflict between their use of natural resources, arising from their fundamentally different approaches to nature.
Maria Dorothea Schrattenholz (NO)
Maria Dorothea Schrattenholz is a writer and artist inspired by science and science fiction, post-apocalyptic and utopian themes. Her debut book Atlaspunkt is science fiction in the form of poetry, where man is followed from origins through the present to a future on Mars, after evacuating an apocalyptic earth.
Mads Borre (DK)
Mads Borre is an interdisciplinary artist working with questions about everyday repetitions, queerness, micro- and macrocosmic clashes in the universe, in the world, between people and language. The Valley Came To Me is a new spoken-word performance specially made for Tårup Dark Sky by the artist.
Sidsel Christensen (DK)
Sidsel Christensen is a visual artist and Ph.D research fellow. In her work she combines new media and installation, expressed through spatial, textual, and performative practices. Throughout, Christensen explores how interactive and relational mechanisms can shed light on the formation and reproduction of different identities.
Dane Dodds (ZA)
Dane Dodds is a self-taught multidisciplinary artist and filmmaker, born and raised on a farm in the Karoo, South Africa where his debut feature film, !AITSA (2023) takes place. Bringing together ancient spiritual knowledge and cutting-edge science, !AITSA is a transcendental film about humans in the Great Karoo desert of South Africa seeking meaning in the infinite darkness surrounding us all.
Kirsti van Hoegee (NO)
Kirsti van Hoegee is an artist interested in how stories and narratives shape the understanding of reality, and how art can shake these perceptions. Her latest projects look at how light pollution directly affects us and the wildlife around us.
Nanna Debois Buhl (DK)
Nanna Debois Buhl is a visual artist whose practice draws connections across time periods and between micro and macro perspectives. Through studies spanning plants and particles, clouds, and computer memory she connects scientific, aesthetic, and speculative perspectives in order to nurture attentiveness to materials and to tell counter-histories.
HC Gilje (NO)
HC Gilje moves between installation, experimental video, live performance and set design. For over a decade he has investigated different ways of initiating ‘conversations with spaces’, transforming spaces using light, projection, sound and motion: ephemeral media that create temporary transformations which influence how we experience them.
Solveig Lønseth (NO)
Solveig Lønseth is an artist working with installation, sculpture and photography. Conceptual reflections about sunlight and daylight form the core of her practice, including observations and manifestations of interaction between light and darkness, outside and inside, body, architecture. At Tårup Dark Sky she presents a new site-specific, sculptural work.
Sidsel Nørgaard-Nielsen (DK)
Sidsel Nørgaard-Nielsen is a multi-instrumentalist and composer, with roots in blues, punk, and post-grunge. She has worked as a guitarist and songwriter, with solo artists, and with recording music.
